Using an inverter at a indoor show o run TV's

I am going to a indoor show in boston ma april 11th, and one of the rules is you have to disconect your battery. So i thought i wuld,nt be able to run my tv's underbody neons and the rest of the12volt stuff. I was speakking to a guy that has done alot of indoor shows and he said to get a inverter and pay for electricity when i register for the show. I guess my question is how could i run my 12 volt stuff using a inverter?

I don't think you'll want an inverter, you'll want a 120 to 12 volt converter, like a big *** AC adapter. Then you can run your neons and such off the wall.

thats probably what he meant by inverter. unfortunately, they arent cheap, and powersupplies are not cheap either.

radioshack sells a 10 amp 12 volt powersupply for $100, should be enough to run most of your lights just fine, you can get bigger supplies if you want to run your stereo as well, they just get more costly.

ebay i believe you cna get 12 volt power supplies cheap too.
