OK I have been having some problems with my car and I am hoping someone can help out. Recently my car has not been starting consistently Ihave to have it jumped I took it to the shop and they replaced the battery, and still the same things happens. REcently I had put indiglo gauges in and they worked fine a week later the problems started. Can placing the gauges in cause this to happen or is it probbaly something else?? If you have any ideas I could really really use some help. Thanks everyone!!

yup

Any electrical work .... or even other work around wires ..... can lead to something going wrong.

If there is even a small electrical short it could consistently be killing your battery. These are generally hard to track down.

If it was a large short it would pop the fuse and instantly let you know something is wrong.

Ok, after you got the new battery, did your car start and run fine for a short amount of time? If it did work for a short period of time after you got the new battery and then stopped, it is most likely your alternator not charging your battery. If this isn't the case, then you probably have something wrong with your electrical system, maybe a short or something.

Yeah the car started to run fine after I got the new battery for about five days then all of a sudden the problems started again. I was thinking it might be the alternator but I was worried I might have f'ed somethin up. Thanx for all your help, its off to the shop tomorrow!
