Question Car Alarm and remote start questions

I am looking to replace my factory alarm system. I am thinking of going with the Python 1500ESP made by DEI. It comes with the remote start and I was wondering if anyone has had troubles with the remote start and how they like it. I also want to get the window roll up modules but I got quoted $300 for all four windows on my sedan. That seems a little pricey considereing I can get the rest of the alarm for a total of $350 installed. Does anyone know how hard it would be to install the window roll up on my own?

if you have installed yrou own radio (done the wiring) the power windows is like teh next level up. you have to tap into the neccesary wiring, rather than plug and chug, you have to doublecheck the wires rather than match up the colors, and you have to hunt down the actual windw wires.

otherwise, its pretty much exactly the same. like 8 wires per window, looking for inputs, outputs, most of the wiring is done by the brain.

i fyoru fealess around wire bundles itll be a snap!

$300??? That’s ridiculous I think the module is about $70 a peace ( price depending on the module they are using)and you would need 2 of them for 4 windows. The install is definitely easier than putting in the alarm system. The only hard part is you might have to take off one or more door panels.

Where on DEI's website can you get the diagram for our car? I only see guides with diagrams to the module harnesses, but not our in-car wires.
