JL or Mmats?

JL or Mmats?
Which of these would be better in your guys opinion to run a Kicker Solo Baric? A JL 500.1 (500watts) or a Mmats 400.4 which gives 700watts? The Mmats looks like a better deal on paper coz its about $80 less, but how do the brands size up to each other?

Rep Power: 0 I have that JL amp, the 500/1 mono, and its absoloutly the best amp i have ever owned... i may have payed too much, but i bought it locally, and didn't feel like waiting on shipping, i didn't look anywhere else for prices or anything, but i paid 500 for it, and got the bass remote thrown in for no extra cost... but its a freakin incredible amp in my opinion...

Rep Power: 0 the jl will be higher quality sound since i believe it maaaaaaaaybe.... im not sure, but maaaaaaybe runs a/b current, but the mmats is higher power, but not much.. its up to you....

Rep Power: 0 my buddy just got a MMATS system installed in his car...... procast 12" sub and 500.2 amp........... it sounds great..... loud as hell.... and u know what?.... the best thing is the amp uses next to no power to operate..... this amp is soooo efficient..... the lights in his GTi hardly dim when the volume is turned up and the car isn't on.
