Installing front speakers
Installing front speakers
I am installing some front speakers. I read the DIY and it seems like it shouldn't be too hard.
Just wondering if there are any further recommendations / tips people have before I go through with this.
Thanks..

i had problems lining up the pioneer speaker holes w/ the stock ones in the car(darn triangle shape holes). will likely need to rig something up to make it fit, like using the old speaker ring or some way to mathc up holes. i bet that depth is ok on it's own, just barely though.
I bought Scosche SAH6 "Honda Civic 2001 and up 6-1/2 inch" adapters for my infinity 605CS 6-1/2" speakers and they didn't fit!
The hole pattern was too small. Through some severe modifications I was able to salvage the installation by drilling new holes at the adapter corners and drive the screws diagonally inward. I do not recommend these adapters for Infinity speakers. The mounting holes were not even close.

It's going in this weekend and hopefully my amps arrive before that.
