my girlfriend just got a remotee start for her 01 civic. I have everywire up but the car won't start. It will turn over but won't start. I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem. And what they had to do to fix it.

do you have a bypass? (like a dei 555u or a dei 555i?) 01 civics have transponders in the keys, it has to have that signal to start. if you put the key in the ignition but dont turn it, and then remote start it, i bet it starts. go get a bypass or, i can tell you how to make one with a relay.

ya, when i had my starter installed at a shop, they took my spare key and cut it in half. bzrollin dudes right
