passive crossovers in the door

Is it ok to just kinda put the passive crossover in the door behind the midrange? I installed my speakers a while ago and its rained and stuff but somebody told me that was a really bad idea because they will get wet. Anyways, I just want to make sure they will be safe inside the door for long term use. Thanks!

EDIT: The speakers I'm using are infinity reference 605cs if that makes a difference. Thanks

wouldn't that be bad for your speakers and all the other electrical stuff in your door?

generally passive crossovers are installed between the door panel and the outside of the door, not behind the speaker

if you have it behind the speaker..I'd definately so move it or it might short out and cause your speakers and amp to blow...
