massive engine noise help please !

Ok I’m getting insane amounts of engine noise from my amped comps in front and rear speakers. Ok here is the layout…stock radio with 4 channel line out converter in trunk. Ran 2 pairs of speaker wire on both side rails for line converter front L/R and amp out back to the front…(2 pairs on each side) then ran a pair on L/R for rear to converter…ran all power and lead cables straight through the middle of car. I get noise when car is on and when it is off I get clicks when I touch the brakes….I also tried isolating the solution by unplugging the L or R channel to find out which wire was making the noise….should I have ran all 4 pairs on the driver side away from the extra stuff that’s located on the passenger side ? What is the solution or which ways did you guys run your wires (RCA’s or anything for that matter) I need help ASAP it’s a mess of wires in the trunk…thanks guys !

I would suggest getting a HU, less wires and by far a much more cleaner signal. You run speaker wires and RCA's together. Power lead should be on it's own, though it can run with a changer cord if you'd like. If it clicks when you touch the brakes when its on... i'm assuming it doesn't have to do witht he brakes but the fact that somethign else in your car begins to use your battery. Check your ground from your amp. Make sure it's securely attached to a grounding point, and make sure that your ground is touching metal and not the paint over the metal. It seems like there must be a wrong connection somewhere but I'm not entirely sure. Check all connections again. It's very useful to draw a diagram of the layout in your car and then try to figure out what's wrong then. A visual will better help you find mistake than from trying to picture it in your head. Good luck with that though!

From what I am understanding, you have signal wires running down the left and right, with teh power down the middle. I'd suggest moving all the signal wires to one side and the power wide to the opposite side. Also, make sure all the connections are good, the ground is a solid sanded connection and all that good stuff.
