Rep Power: 0 which eclipse.. theres 4... im assuming you refer to the titanium... beautiful speaker.. i'd go with the titaniummmmmm ... but for that price + slightly more you can drop in w7's... if you refer to alums, mass gets slightly louder and slightly lower (only 2 db's or so)... but i personally love the sound of the alum... evo-r ive never heard

Rep Power: 0 Well I've had EVO-R's and Eclipse alums in 12 and 15" and my g/f Had a Mass 2010 in her car before...so I can really help you out here..
If your that concerned about sound quality. Use a class A/B amp..it makes a world of difference with woofer control. The Eclipse will require the most power tog et any decent SPL out of it. the EVO-R is by far the most efficient. The MASS has the best frequency response and plays the lowest while maintainting great woofr control. The EVO-R is basically a more efficient Eclipse alum...they really really have the same output properties and responce in sealed enclosures..but the EVO-R's hit harder. The MASS, IDMAX and W7 are basically the 3 best subs for high output while retaining incredible fidelity. Using a Class D amplifier though and you'll never let the subs sound as good as they can because of the ultra slow slew rates of the amps (time gap between changing polarity) it causes some overhang,
Whatever your choice may be. Feed them with at least 500Wrms of class a/b Power!!

Rep Power: 0 My JBL 1200.1 is class D right? I wanted to get a big amp so i would have the
possibility of wiring it for 1200 or 600 watts depending on the sub.
Not the cleanest amp in the world but im hoping my install and sub will pick up the slack
thanks u guys

With JBL amps..always try to use an outboard crossover..their built in X/O's pretty much just plain suck

Rep Power: 0 theyre not that expensive ebay style
the reason i like audiocontrols is because you can dial in the frequency to the dot... you go to radio shack and spend like $1.25 on a module and some resistors, and you have the crossover frequency... only XO i know of that you can say "i have my Xover set at exatly 84 Hz"
i just got one specifically to use with a jbl for 40 bucks on ebay... audiocontrol 2xs, but you can go with whatever you want...
