Altenator?

Hey guys! I just want to know if you think my altenator is ok? Cuz i was about to start my car right after work and it took a while to start. Like 3 to 4 sec cranks before it started and my question is could it be my altenator? I have a 400watt amplifier 2 ch. Do you think my car will last at least a yr without having replacing an altenator?

Your amps is fine ... no way it draws too much power.

Option A: You farged up your wiring and you have a short kiling the battery. I really doubt that though since I would think it would be completely dead.

Option B: Your over-paranoid and there isn't anything wrong. Tried to start your car too quickly without letting the fuel pump pressurize the system for a brief second. Happens more frequently the as your tank gets empty. They don't have that turn for 3 clicks on the gas cap for nothing.

The alternator doesn't start the car.. it's the battery that provides power for that.

I know that but it takes the altenator to charge the battery. So if the altenator doesnt give enough charge while running it will die out.
