Door speaker help

My friend and I are yanking the stock system out of his new 2002 civic coupe. His stock door speakers are components with the tweeters by the mirrors. Where in the wiring scheme is the crossover located? If we yank his bottom 6.5" speaker and hook some pioneer 3 ways in there, will the factory tweeter be disabled, or will the tweeters in the 3 ways be disabled? Is there a way to get the pioneers to work completely and keep the factory tweeter working as well? Thanks for your help in advance.

just dont unplug the stock tweeter... but so many tweeters? wow... 8 tweeters but only 2 mids in the front... reccomendation: get rid of the stock tweeter and get a component set instead of a coaxial set so you can replace the stock location tweeter... i wish my car had tweeter pods

yeah, thats what I was thinking too....but the unfortunate thing is that my friend has 2 practially brand new sets of good pioneer 6.5"s from his old car. It would really suck to have to buy new speakers and put these perfectly good ones in a closet.
