line out converter?

I tried to intstall a line out converter (scoshe brand), and something's wrong. Was wondering if there's a limit on how many watts your amp can be, mine is rated at 800 watts, the package says up to 80 or something like that, but the guy said it should work fine. I messed with the input setting on the amp and the loc, but could never get it right. It would either barely play or start clipping.

I have no experience with line out convertors, but I'll assume that that 80 watts limit is the limit of the input speaker wire (coming form your HU). Is everythign hooked up correctly? Speaker outputs from the Hu to the inputs on the LOC, then RCAs to the ampifier?

yeah I figured out the loc, it just happened to be a bad one. I returned it and it works now. Speaker is still not working up front, but at least my subs are now. I have a question though, my subs seem to be clipping every so often. What could be the cause of this? It's really bad if I put in a 2pac cd. oh well, guess i'll learn as I go....thanks for the help

Maybe try a powered line out converter. You may need a stronger signal going to your amps.
