i searched for "center" for center console, i knew there was that post somewhere

I will also be putting a 6 disc changer in the drivers side map pocket, i think that would be a fantastic place to put a radio (or apexi vtec controller, for that matter )
you lose the ability for your friends to mess with your radio, but hey, maybe thats a good thing, not bad, huh?
other idea is installed the same way mine was, but to the left of the shifter, OUTSIDE the center console. another idea is in the glove box, tho that would make using it a pain
under the steering column.
on top of the dash.
under the seat, this would be a remote controlled unit only, for sure. perfect stealth tho.
in the stock location, just sunk 1/2 inch behind the panel. this would allow the added bonus of being able to see it (its in the shade) plus being able to slice off your stock faceplate and putting it in there when the car is parked. you cant get better security than a "stock" radio! or have it sunken in and have a small 12v motor moving a cover for it that slides up and down...
or you can put it up on the inside roof of the car, kinda like the hangy down tv's , but that only works if you sit mad back... or.... ummmm...
.... some crazy glassing and wiring, put the faceplate by the gauge cluster and leave the unit hidden somewhere...

I like Dimple's idea...but add this little twist to it: Remove the aftermarket faceplate and relocate it somewhere else (visor), cigarrette lighter area, or down by the cup holders. If you have an '02, putting the faceplate on the inside of the cupholder cover would be super nice. This way, you just have to push the cover down to hide it.

but hey if you removce the aftermarket faceplate how do you use the cd? is taht possible and damn that just sounds like a lot of wiring and maybe soldering. has anyone done that?
