how did the ppl that have relocated these do it? is here an extention thas femle on one end and male on the other or what. or did you just have to cut it and extend all the wires? i want to put three gauges in the holes for the controls and move the a/c controls to the center console .

you pretty much answered your own question. relocate the extended wires under your center console and then you have to custom mold the part where you plan on putting your A/C control box and *****.

Yep, you're right on the money. Basically take out the center console like when you're installing a head unit. Then take out the part that holds the climate controls by unscrewing it from behind. Well, first you have to pull the ***** off. Then I think the painted part with the hot and cold and off and fan speed are part of the center console (not sure, can't remember). You'll have to cut them out and file down the edges. Then you can relocate them easily. Just cut into the harness and extend all of the wires. Relocate it to wherever you'de like.
That's a good idea though, guages in that area. Climate control could be up top, near the little lights. Well, at least in an LX. Dunno about EX? Too much hacking up the original shiznit though. I'de rather just buy the guage bezel thingie for two extra guages, or maybe a triple guage thingie for the side pillar. Good luck though...
