Alpine 7894 dash

I am hoping someone will have some information for me. I did search for this also, so please so comments on searching. I got the headunite the other day and i must i love it, however it is damn hard to see in the day and for that matter not to easy to see at night because of the angle. has or does any one know how to adjust the brightness. i am sure there is a way but i have not found it. all i found was manual and auto, however manual is not adjustable from what i can tell unless there is a special key to it. the next question has any one had a custom dash kit made out of ABS plastic. that is my only choice unless i can brighten it... the kit i have does not make the radio flat enough. if any one has pics can you please post them

Have you tried switching between the amber and green colors? Also, I am considering that hu or the 7893 at the moment. I like the silver look of the 93 but want the mp3 playback of the 94. How is the mp3 playback?

This has been covered many times.. almost all HU's with hard plastic screens are very hard to see in sunlight..there is not cure for it.. I just let mine get dusty and leave it that way...then it reflects less sun and I can see the display better
