Radio that won't skip no matter how much bass you have

Hey guys, I am looking for a radio that can stand some serious bass. I don't want to have my cds skipping every time I turn it up. I am thinking about going with 4 12 inch power hx2s. The 2000 watts. I am most likely going to push them with 2 bd 1500s. Any info on what kind of speakers to get.

The HX2's are very nice, but if you plan on running 2 bd 1500's then you need to look into an alternator upgrade. Check with mohawk about that, he can give you more info than I can. As for your music source not skipping the only way to absolutely avoid it is to buy something like a Kenwood music keg, or Pioneers memory stick cd player. Because they are not reading the music from a moving object, they won't skip, hope this helped.

I would go with something that's all digital and has no moving parts. I agree w/ JJF about those 2 products.

I honestly really doubt that a qiality Hu with anti skip would skip, even with the bass, but you can try get either a personal MP3 player, or i remember rockford fosgate had a solid state smart memory mp3 changer.

its not gonna skip... if you can get it to skip than either you installed it wrong or you are a bass wizard. i had 2 15 inch power HX2's in my civic with 2400 watts and they hit lower than those 12's will and my cd player never skipped. between a premier 740 and an alpine 7995. the low notes that make your car vibrate the most had my windsheild flexin like crazy but the dash is in a spot that doesn't really get alot of spl. i have the audio control epic 150 with internal SPL meter and at the cd locaction i would hit 147 but at the windsheild in an IASCA competition i was hitting 151. i wouldn't even bother giving this another thought i really doubt it will be an issue. oh and if you can get 4 Image dynamics IDQMAX 12's they r the same price range and will hit harder (more X-MAX) and sound better than the rockfords.

oh yeah and also ..... those amps... not a great choice. for power and effeciency you should look toward MMats for an Amp. they have new models out. either 1400 Watts models and get 2 or they have a single 2000 watt amp and a new 3000 watt amp. but with your rockfords only being dual 2 ohm you wouldn't get a 2 ohm load with 4 subs only 1ohm or 4ohm but with the idmax's you can get a dual 4 ohm and then you'll have your 2 ohms. alot easier to tune your subs with just the one amp and MMAts is VERY effecient. So from experience i can tell you ditch the rockford idea. big name, well known, but quality is just a thing of the past. spend your money on a better product.

mmats is'n't heard of too much yet, but they are very good. built excellent, great value for money. find a local shop that sells their peoduct and listen for yourself. I believe that's always the best thing to do, because what you like is what you should get, everybody always has their OWN opinion.
