Where do we wire for "GROUND"?

I read through the forum and know that we are suppose to ground under the rear seats. I see some big metal plate under the rear seat, am I suppose to carve under that? Not too sure, can someone post a picture of what it's suppose to look like? THANKS!

Any metal part of the car (that is attached to the chassis) is considered ground. Essentially the whole chassis acts as one big conductor to the negative terminal of your battery.

The best place to ground is just about always using the bolt that fastens the seat belt. there are other places to ground however , it depends on where your amps are located. If your amps are alll the way in the rear of the trunk so to be grounded to the seat belt would require a 4 foot ground, then you are better off finding a better location. I've always found the shorter the ground the better, long ground wires can cause a lot of unwanted "noise". Hope this can help

okay...the seatbolt and seat belt bolts are good if your not drawing more than about 40 amps peak..anything more you get some noticable voltage drops at the amps. If your running big amps.. drilla hole inthe trunk floor, sand down to bare metal..and ground there. If your running a couple of fairly large amps. use 2 grounds about 1" away from each other.

Cheers

If I use the bolt of the seat belt, do I need to scrape anything?

I actually used one of the bolts that holds the e-brake in the center console as ground. My amp was under the passenger seat so it was close. When I put my subs in I just used the same ground for both my amps. It runs under the carpet with my power and RCAs. Some ppl will tell you never to run them together. I have absolutely no feedback in my speakers or subs whatsoever. I also have my distro box for power under the center console. It's a bit of a mess down there but, nobody can see it, right?
