another quick question

i started wiring my amp today and i am using 4 gauge power wire. The fuse that was shipped with it doesnt seem to be able to fit the 4ga and hold it. it seems like it can only hold 8ga. but if i take out the smaller piece then the 4ga starts fitting in but it only goes until it his the rubber around the wire, and then the screw wont hold in just the wire. Anybody know what i should do?

Are you talking about the fuse holder, There are little brass spacers to fit 8 gauge wire, undo the allen head screws completely and those little spacers will come out. You should then be able to fit the 4 guage in the holder.

FUSES? WHo needs fuses, LOL. Thats what the amplifier is for, if it blows up, it'll only short circuit the battery until the MOSFETS discenigrate, then they'll create an open circuit. But then again, if you don't work for the company who makes your amps, this may get a lil expensive. hehe

Sounds like you need a different fuse holder to me. One that was designed for 4 gauge wire perhaps?
