I see alot of 7th gens w/ all these LCD monitors just hanging off the dash. I don't get why you guys do that. It doesn't look right nor does it look custom. Why didn't ya'll just get an indash? I don't get whats the point of just having your LCD just chillin there? Can you guys explain. Do you get it just so you can say you have an LCD? I have the Pioneer indash but I bought it cause you can do everything from it. So much easier too hook stuff up w/ the brain just under your seat.

For me it will be a camera in front and in back. I would want it mounted in such a way as to look stock though.

I suppose, they can use it for movies, a gideo console and it's a lot easier to remove to prevent theft. and, an indash cost a lot more. there are tons of reasons.

Well, im going to be gettin one too, thje kenwood DIN style. To answer your question, i would get the separate monitor so it looks more custom, but my car is a daily driver and i want it to look as UN out-of-the-ordinary as possible. A custom mounted one is like just yelling "break into this car and steal me and all the other goodies inside", baisiclly, its less conspicuous
