110V installation in a car?

Actually, I don't know how to ask this but what I meant was how do you make for example a Playstation 2 run on a car without plugging it to an external source? I get to see cars in show pics that have PS1's or 2's in it but don't know how they do it? What modifications do I have to do on the electronics on the car or what things do I have to insatll to make this possible? How can I power something that exceeds like 12 volts?

Please help....

All you need is a DC to AC converter.
