one last HU intall question.

sorry I keep posting these really dumb questions, but I only have one more(i think). Anyway, its a Sony CDX2250 from my old car that got killed by a tree. Im installing it in my friend's '93 Civic sedan. Anyway, there's no install instructions with it cause wehn I origianlly got this thing, I had a place install it for me. However, Im gonna do it this time since its relatively easy and not worth the $50 they charge around here. So here's my question, it still has the harness that the shop attached and I'm assuming that this is the '86 and newer harness since my car was an '89. I also assume that this harness will work in a '93 civic since the one page that sold these things said the only exceptions were '96 and up civics and a few others. Anyway, I took a look at it this morning. On the back, there's 4 outputs. I assume I only need to worry about these if I were installing an amp or whatever, right? Also, there is this one wire with a connection on the end of it, the kind that is shaped like a "Y". Where does this get installed to? The antenna? or is this a ground or something?? Thanks for the help, I'll try to put an end to my questions as soon as I know what im getting into.

Okay..the wiring harnesses should match up....there's only 4 wires to worry about if you're running amps.. the "y" Shaped wire I have no clue about. What color is it?.

Well it was pretty early this morning when I took a look at it, but I'm almost positive it was a green wire.

Ok i just took a look at it, I dont think its for the antenna, theres a separate connection/outlet for where the antenna plugs in. This wire I was talking about is grouped with all of the harness wires and its coming from the harness plug towards the headunit itself. The wire is BLUE and on closer inspection, it is not a "Y" plug or whatever its called, but a connection. (Its a small brass conection with each side bent over, the kind that you find at the end of a speaker wire, that type of connection, if that helps at all, I really dont know the name)

Oh, I think I know, I think that it's the female end of a set of RCAs that Sony uses as it's Sub pre-amp outputs. I have a Sony (unfortunately) and I think that I have that and that's what it does.

So, I don't think you need to hook it up anywhere, if it is what I'm thinking..
