LED Brightness
Can anyone give me some tips on the brightness of LED's? I'm replacing my dash lights with LED's, and I want to get the brightest ones I can, I'm just not very familiar with the almighty "scale or brightness". Anyone who can help? Thanks a lot .
more voltage = more brightness, at the cost of LED life.
blue/white = 5 volts to light
red/green = three voltsish even less to light.
reds will pop with a 9 volt battery much less 12 volts, you may need a resistor unless its a direct replacement.
but if they work, i wouldnt worry about brightness. when just working is an issue, you cant be too choosy....
