SVC vs DVC

ive searched in the forums for the pros and cons of SVC and DVC subs. im thinking of running either 2 12 inch Cerwin Vega HED or 2 12 inch JL W3's in SVC or one DVC sub. which is the better choice. i listen to heavy rock and club music mostly

A DVC sub gives you options on how much power you want to send to those subs. At 2 ohms, the amp will provide more power than at 4 ohms. I dunno about one DVC verses 2 CV's or JL's, unless that DVC was an IDMAX, or an Audiomobile MASS. What kind of Amp are you going to use?

There are no pros or cons of each..it's just matter of wiring options to achieve certain ohm loads...

HED's are entry level subs which are very very good entry level subs..but W3's are midlevel subs and are a bit better quality..but also about double the price..

What you are planning on running for an amp is an important factor. If your going to be using lets say an Orion 225HCCA which is stable to a 1ohm mono load..then sky is pretty much the limit. But if you choose to go with a amp that is 2ohm STEREO...at best..then you are a bit limited in what you can buy...unless of course you have room for multiple subs to get the load you desire.
