Hanging free cable near headlights

So I was changing the front parking light in my car and i noticed that there's a hanging wire (that has a connection for a bulb, full of grease) just hanging out..... freely! My headlights, parking lights, and turn signals are all connected... What is this? Is this for the fog lights or something?

i donno what thats for but all i know is that i have that wire hanging tooo, maybe its just a diagnostic thing for them or something like that....
