Help.. No sound heard from speakers.

I have a pioneer aftermarket CD Player, Pioneer door speakers and Boston 6 x 9's in the back, I was driving home today and the sound went out, the CD player still works but there is no music heard, could it be the wiring or was something not connected properly to the CD player, I've had this setup for about 4 months and this is the first problem, any help would be appreciated.

Probably there's some loose connections somewhere. Check behind the HU. If all is good there check behind the speakers and see if there's loose connections there. If it was working before for 4 months there shouldn't be anything that was connected improperly. That's all I could think of right now. Hope you get your problem solved!

hmm... someone else had the same problem, dont remember who n how he solved it tho. well i doubt its the connections but its worth the try. since all of them went out at the same time i'm thinking its something with the headunit. try hooking it up to a different set of speakers. or better yet hook it up to an amp using the rca cables. if it works with the rca cables/amp but not the speaker wires then its probably the internal amp. if the rca cables/amp doesn't worth then its probably something with the headunit, check the volume/mute or whatever... disconnecting the battery might help you reset the cd player if you cant figure it out

If yoiur running the speakers off the HU..there's 3 posibilities.

Most likely. Internals amps blown.

Second most likely. DAC is fried.

Third and least likely. Wiring harness came loose..

this happened to me when i put in my components. the problem was this:

the wire terminal was grounding out on the frame of the door, this one speaker caused all the others to quit, i released the ground and they all worked fine... no problems so far.
