Turn Signal Issues

My 2001 Honda Civic LX is giving me problems with the passenger turn signal.I recently bought the car and the wires were missing I tried to rewire it that everytime I try to use a turn signal either blows a fuse or it won't even turn on . right now the car has LED's for the turn signals and it has load resistors to avoid hyper blinking but for some reason neither side actually blinks (the drivers side does with stock bulbs) and the passenger side is the serious issue. any ideas on how I can fix this?

Re: Turn Signal Issues

Put the correct bulbs back in until it works correctly again. Mod it AFTER it all works right. LED's only work one way, if you stick it in backwards it becomes a short (simple diode action there unless the bulbs are equipped with rectifiers).

Fix that jacked up wiring in that corner. Looks like someone barfed up spaghetti dinner.

Blowing fuses means a short or overloaded circuit.

Wire diagram, voltmeter or test light if necessary, and properly sealed wire repairs so the wiring doesn't corrode later.

Re: Turn Signal Issues

To begin with, I am unsure how to go about fixing the issue. I'll go ahead and put it back to stock and see if I can diagnose. I tried rewiring this week and finally stopped the short, but still no blinker. How can I clean up the barfed up spaghetti look?

Re: Turn Signal Issues

Is that in the trunk ??

I will look up the 2 wire colors and post them, you will need to locate those 2 factory colors then take them to the individual bulbs sockets.

The wires are correct, the only issue is that I have no idea what order they go into the socket and what i need to keep the from shorting. I'm going to check the hood fuses to see if i blew one... again

The signal bulbs/socket/wiring is 2 pins one of the above wire colors (or at least pre bird nest anyhow) and a ground.

What I had in mind was find those factory colors in the factory loom, and then run new lines to the signal bulbs/sockets and get rid of bird nest.
