Hello all,
We have a 2001 Civic with 45k miles on it.
The gauge cluster suddenly quits working- sometimes the entire cluster (all gauges) will go out and the brake light comes on.
We can turn off the engine, turn on and off the lights and restart the vehicle and the gauges (some of them- usually the speedo,tach, and temp) all come back on. The odometer usually doesn't work, or works least of the time.
The gas gauge isn't accurate except when above half, it shows when you add gas.
Also, the D flickers when the gauge is messed up.


We have done the diagnostic and the cluster checks out and we have looked at the fuses(both boxes) but I haven't pulled every fuse.

That's interesting because my son insists it works great when it's real hot outside.
Have to read this and look at the solder.
