Aftermarket alternator

I am going to be purchasing a new alternator within the next week and I was curious if anyone here had any experience with any companies.

Some I have heard of so far,

more_amps
Alterstart
bnrparts

There is also a company locally that builds them but they wont wire it to do anything more than 120amps

Any suggestions?

Re: Aftermarket alternator

From what I hear, Alterstart builds good products that last. I don't own one, but a few people have said they prefer them.

Re: Aftermarket alternator

Hmm, looks like Ill see what they can offer compared to locally here.

For some reason my MPG dropped like crazy so I might have to replace some stuff before my alternator

Re: Aftermarket alternator

I've had only problems with aftermarket crap, AC Delco being one brand. These cars are notorious for electrical issues with the sketchy voltage regulators and out of spec capacitors in generic alternators.

OEM ftw.
