New System

Hey guys, i just received my new sound system today and pretty much have most of it installed but there are a few things i need to ask since this is my first time installing. I bought a Boss DVD flip out head unit and two 12" Kenwoods with a 1600 watt amp. I started by running my power wire down the side for the amp, then removed my console and factory head unit and ran my rca and remote wires down the center console. So i then started to wire up my new head unit with a new harness. Once i finished matching up my wires i was left with two that were not connected to anything (Illumination and Dimmer). What are these for and do i need to connect these to anything or can i just leave them capped off? Also I do not seem to have a remote turn on wire on my new deck for my amp, is there any other wire i can splice into? The car is a 2003 Civic Coupe LX.

Thanks alot,

Josh.

Re: New System

why dont you just bypass the parking brake wire?? if you can install the stereo yourself then im sure that you have enough intelligence not to watch a movie while driving. to bypass it you should just be able to connect it to anything that is ground and itll work. i looked at the manual for yours online and that is what it looks like.
