Exclamation Need quick help with ECU fuse

Okay, I read that one way to reset the ECU is to take out the ECU fuse. I've located it [blue, 15 amperes], but I can't take it out. Do i just yank with my fingers? also, should i disconnect the battery? is this even the best idea? thanks.

Just pull it out. You can use pliars if your fingers are too big. Or just disconnect battery. It's the same. If you disconnect the battery, you lose all your saved radio settings, code, vafc stuff, etc.

Re: Need quick help with ECU fuse

My '94 civic won't start, I checked the fuses and the ecu 15a was popped. replaced it and turned the key on... POP. that one went too. so i replaced it one more time with a 20a and that one lasted about 2 seconds longer and it eventually popped as well....any ideas?

I have an idea... make a new thread.

You brought back a thread from 2004 man, and it's not even in the right generation forum.

I dunno if this will help but about a week or two ago my car wouldn't start randomly... I towed it to my uncles garage and the whole ECU was defected so i had to get it replaced. Just thought i'd throw that out there as an option...
