I put in subs a few weeks back, and didn't have any problems, except for frying my amp. I got a new kicker amp, and now, I have need for a capacitor, because half the time I need to pop-start my car. When I first turn her on, her battery light blinks at me, but not in a set interval or anything, it's like a child is randomly poking you to annoy you >_> and only when my rpm's are low. I'm just curious if anyone knows what exactly that means. Thanks.

pretty much yeah. alternator not making enough amps. the stereo is making it worse by taking what little power there is instead of having it recharge the battery. get a free charging system check at the auto store.
