First off, yes I've searched. Now, I'd like to keep the factory opening with flip down door. From what I've found only metra makes a kit to do that, but theres been mixed reviews on how the kit fits and the color. Some say it fits fine others say it doesn't fit at all. Has metra addressed any of these problems? Has anyone bought a metra kit recently? How'd it fit. Any one with pictures.

The Metra kit problem has been addressed but they never issued a recall on any of the kits that were made using bigger tolerances to speed up production.... If you purchase the kit and it doesn't fit properly bring it back..and get the store to replace it!.. pretty easy [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]..

Ummm. . . Metra blows ***. It's cheap flimsy peice of crap. . It falls apart in like 2 weeks, doesn't mount your deck flush, and doesn't match the color at all. for that .. . . I have to get a new one now to make up for this . ..

The opening on the face plate of mine was not wide enough to fit the H U. The kit sucks big time.

You could always widen the opening.... so it looks cleaner....
