Interior Paint

The interior of my 01 coupe is light tan with the darker brown leather-like textured material. I wanted to paint the dark brown part black to give it more of that bmw feel. Is there a way to do this that won't ruin the interior? i.e. sanding it down and spray painting it?

Re: Interior Paint

If you are trying to paint anything but the hard plastic in the car, it takes a good bit of extra effort and is usually easier to just re-fabric the material. This isn't usually too bad depending on what pieces you are replacing and how easy it is to remove the old fabric.

Re: Interior Paint

If your talking about the dash part that is like Fo leather it will not hold paint. Your best bet is to remove and replace the material or I have see people try to dye it black but it didnt last long. It ended up fading fast.
