Questions regarding Losing Keyless entry if I Replace Stock HU

Will I loose my keyless entry if I swap out the stock head unit for an after market one?

I have a 2001 Civic EX Coupe

Nope.. on 6th gen civics you needed a bypass module..for the 7th gens..the ony thing hooked up through the stock HU is the speakers ..

I know this to be false but when I bought my 2001 EX coupe the dealer guy told me that if I changed the HU I would lose my keyless entry AND the factory alarm. What a load of crap. You'd think these people would know SOMETHING about the cars they are trying to sell. Oh well.
