Need help on 05 tailights

Hi there,

I have an 05 Civic DX 4dr. and have noticed last night that my license plate lights and parking lights( part# 15 on the diagram attached) at the back are not working when i turn on the switch BUT will turn ON when i open the trunk The rest of the lights are working fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated

check the fuses, it could be a blown fuse tat controls ur tail lights.

Broken wire in the harness in the trunk at the flexing point. RED/YELLOW wire.

You were right! it was a broken wire at flexing point. I guess Honda didn't put a long enough wire and the wires got seperated at the connector. I'm surprised HOnda only put an electrical tape at the connection. ANyways, I've placed a long enough wire so it wouldn't get stressed when opening/closing the trunk. Thanks for your help!
