Weird Static Problem

I currently have a Pioneer AVIC-F700bt. A few days ago I bought a wiring kit to put in a second amp, ever since I get really bad static and squealing in my speakers. The squealing seems to come from the alternator every time accelerate. The static is horrible when trying to hear voice directions. I have since tried new amps, new speakers, new RCAs, ground loop filters, noise filters, ground head unit in trunk, removing the wiring kit, and even a new head unit. The only thing that seems to remove the static is if I take one of the audio out female RCAs and touch it to the metal on the head unit.

In the last day it seems to have gotten worse, when I do not touch that RCA to the metal, I have what sounds like a crossover problem, I can't get any vocals out of my speakers.

I have a feeling that my head unit is now starting to go

Re: Weird Static Problem

Was it a used deck when u bought it..cause even Pioneer's cheap **** doesn't crap out like that...it definitely sounded like you had a bad ground or one of the RCA cables were cut somewhere along the line...did u double check the speaker wire connections...and you don't need ground loop filters or noise filters in our cars...i assume u have a 7th gen honda?

Re: Weird Static Problem

That is weird... i do know if it sounds like the static is going up and down with the rpms, then it is your RCA's. But i'm not to sure what it could be since you replaced them. I'll do a little research and get back to you.

Re: Weird Static Problem

I forgot to mention a very important part. The wiring kit came with a 1.2 farrad cap. When I wired it up the cap made a loud noise then blew the 100amp fuse. I since removed all that and get the problem.
