Hey folks,
Car is an '02 Acura 1.7 EL (Civic).
Couple of times this week, when I put the key in and went to start, I heard all this chattering from a relay under the passenger side of the dash (might also have heard some from under the driver side as well). The DRL (Daytime Running Lights) light was flickering intermittently as well. Fan and radio were fine. Car started fine.
The first time it happened, I turned the lights on/off and it went away. Car ran fine for a couple of days till this AM when it happened again. This time, the lights on/off thing didn't cure it but it settled down a few moments after I started the car and the DRL came on.
Any thoughts as to what this chatter could be?
Cheers!

Re: Relay Chatter
What position does it do it in? 1 or 2?
I'm assuming that the DRLs are hooked to the switch via a relay. My civic doesn't have them in from stock. Try pulling the fuse and/or relay for this circuit.
It could be a loose ground or an intermittent short. + touching ground.
I know its probably going to be annoying because its intermittent.
I realize its been a month since this was first posted, has it been doing it more or less since then?
If that doesn't work, I don't know what else it could be.
