the pics you posted above are definitely 04-05 fogs. 01-03 opening is flat on the bottom, 04-05 is flat on top.

I got my ebay order last Monday. I dont think this fog lamps are direct fit and some of you said that cutting must be done. The paperwork that came with the box says 01-03 Honda Civic 2/4 DR.
Did I just order the wrong one? I noticed my bumper has a tiny triangular shape that can be removed and replaced with some factory size lamps. Has any notice or use a factory fog lamps before?
Please posts more pics.
Thanks!

they fit. You HAVE to cut. And not just the little corner part, you need to cut enough so that the whole back of the fog light fits in there

Your cut will look something like this:
I got my instructions from the HandA website. Just scroll down to the foglight section and click on your year and bodystyle for the installation instructions. I was a little conservative cutting into the painted section; I wasn't sure how far over towards the center of the car I needed to go, so I cut a little at a time until the light fit.

I got them for my 05 2-door-
They are OK, the problems are:
They break easy
They don't just bolt in like a stock Honda part would
They came with absolutely shitty bulbs and I had to fork out 35 more for bulbs
The "factory" style switch they came with took EXTENSIVE mods to make it fit in the dash and work
you have to cut the thick plastic inserts molded into you bumper cover
they are just curved yellow plastic, with no proper "lens" so they just blast light out in every direction -except the one you need (forward)
the way they came wired- the light inside the switch was on 24-7 not just when the key was on, I had to re-do it
The Pros are:
They are cheap $$ ( i bought my second set thanx to the ******* that lets his dog commit suicide in front of me a cpl weeks ago)
the wiring is nice and the plugs fit right in the fuse-block
they do look cool?
you get everything in one kit and don't need extra brackets and crap (besides needing new bulbs)

because there are NO celica lights in the shape of the 01-03 OEM fogs. what's there to compare? this is a civic forum, not a celica forum. and you need to calm down. there's no need to get mad about this stuff. we're here to converse and learn. if you don't want to do that, then find a celica forum.

celicas actually have very good PROJECTOR fogs, which also work well with hid since the light can still be controled by the optics. its not some ebay junk reflector that throws light all over and lets you see the whole bulb in plain view.

which is why his "boys" fogs worked well with HID's but the 01-03 civic fogs are junk for HID's.

true, and both are bad for hid, since they were designed to use halogen bulb. its totally different bulb technology and optics.
