HO Alternator, help on wiring

I have a HO alt, and my question is can I jus use the original stock wires instead of using a 4ga wire -> battery post. Using the 4ga wires make to much noise.

Any suggestions?

Re: HO Alternator, help on wiring

i would not. the stock wires aren't good for much over 70A. even though our cars suck having the ELD, the same excitation signal from the ECU for full output will likely put out much more amps than the stock wires can handle. i'd run the 4ga wire to the same connection point as the stock alt wire.
