DIY: APEXI NEO menu walk-through

Hey sorry about not doing the wire-up but after I did it all the pics were blured and could not see anything that close up but heres a menu set-up on a positive note

After installing the unit

turn the key to the II position (DONT START) you should see the boot up screen

At the main menu select ECT. (third on the right)

Select, CAR SELECT

Now change the # of cylinders to 4, the throttle position should be north east
Press the right arrow to calibrate the throttle.

Now select, MODE SELECT AND LEAVE IT AT EASY
PREV, MODEL SELECT
TURN VTEC CONTROLLER ON OR OFF IN MY CASE I LEAVE IT OFF SINCE I DONT HAVE IT
IF YOU TURN IT ON YOU SHOULD SEARCH WHAT RPM SUITS YOUR DRIVING BEST.

Now select, SENSOR SELECT

(01-05 civic) PRESSURE, IN 6 OUT 6

Now that thats done here is some pics of the air controller options ( DO NOT CHANGE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DO AN ENGINE SWAP FOR A STUPID REASON U CAN BLOW YOUR CAR UP, SHOULD BE PROFESSIONALLY TUNED )

throttle segragation

RPM range

and AIR map graph

After you have set every thing explained turn the car off and take key out.
NOW YOU CAN START THE CAR.
Select, DISPLAY
refer to your manual to select what sensor outputs and gauges you want to display after everythings selected it should look like some thing like this

Re: DIY: APEXI NEO menu walk-through

The general consensus is that it's pretty worthless. Like he said, it's really only useful as a VTEC head swap aid. It's useless as an ECM. At least that's what I've heard.

Oh, and props for taking the pictures of a process. It's more of a pain than people realize.

Re: DIY: APEXI NEO menu walk-through

You hooked it up wrong, or the settings are wrong. What model/year civic do you have? Call Apex I the number is
APEX Integration, Inc.
1449 W Orange Grove Ave., Suite A
Orange, CA 92868

(714) 685-5700 Phone
(714) 685-5701 Fax

Business Hours
Monday - Friday
9:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. PST

They have one hell of a great customer support line.

Hot wire is for older cars it has a diode in the middle of the housing.
Pressure is what we have it senses how much air flow is coming into the air mani. by how much pressure is created by suction. -80=less pressure, -6=more pressure
