Looking for ideas on trunk setup
I have an Eclipse 12 and a fosgate power t4004 and am looking for some nice, clean, simple, neat ideas for a custom trunk setup. I have the material and colors already picked out, it will be black and grey. I'm up for any other ideas....
Re: Looking for ideas on trunk setup
drop the sub into the floor with the amp in a false floor setup or build a wall in the back. nice and clean, and you still have functional trunk space

Re: Looking for ideas on trunk setup
do something like Derek with floor mounted sub and amp. you could do it in a line in the middle with sub on top and amp on bottom.

Yeah, I'm kinda between the false floor setup and wall. I'm leaning towards doing a wall because I actively use my spare tire well for various things. Anyone seen any nice looking wall setups with a clean, custom touch?

I may do that eventually but I still need the space, if nothing else, to store all of my tools. And there's a great idea, too. I may integrate my battery box into the floor....

heres mine, its as simple as you can get (single amp, no sub). cut hole for amp, and a lil window with plexi and binder plastic for the alpine sticker which looks neat at night with the red led dome light shining down. and a plastic flower pot to hold up the amp.
Re: Looking for ideas on trunk setup
varner88 had a pretty huge wall built for his type-R. it was ok..
I need to build some kind floor for my amp/sub in a box combo. I have my amp bolted to the back of my seat because i stuffed a slice of MDF behind the seat under the carpet. so that looks nice.. but the sub is just rolling around back, disconnecting every few days..
in the floor sounds nice.. gearboxs was very clean

Re: Looking for ideas on trunk setup
but do you want sq, spl or just want to look pretty?i have a l7 in a custom built box for my car and i do 149 db on the windshield but my trunk looks like sh*t.if you want looks then do a false floor or fiberglass a enclosure. if you want a little more output then do a wall sealed.if you really want more boom then do a wall and have it ported with aeros facing the cabin so the back is just plain and you can still access the spare location by putting a trap door there.
