Re: OEM Black Gauges Installed
So if I want these I'm looking for the 01' Sedan gauges. The MT ones are black too I assume?
Yeah, as the time has worn on I'm getting damn sick of mine. They are fugly.
Where can I get these?

yeah, junkyard or ebay but the manual ones are super hard to find. i got the one for the op at a junkyard in reno, the only one they had sitting around. auto is easy to find. but fyi, sedans have greenish backlight not amber. so you would have to open it up and strip off the paint in the back, and put some red film or something.

I didn't touch the "green" backing, really. It looks white. At least that one you sent me did. No one can tell it's kind of green unless I tell them. It's not enough of an issue for me to warrant stripping it off and putting something back on there.

Good luck with the LED thing, it's not as easy as it sounds. As long as you don't mind uneven light, it won't be an issue. Just don't expect it to be as even as OEM.

Yeah, I'm ready to cuss and be pissed and unhappy. I plan to sit in a dark room with the gauges plugged into a battery and keep on adding LEDs until it looks like I want it. Then either tape, or glue the hell out of it.

Re: OEM Black Gauges Installed
Honestly, I was looking for the cluster for the better part of a year, and Steve happened to stumble across one.
But in regards to stuffing it full of LEDs, best of luck to you. Not saying it can't be done, but I'm an engineering student that spent God knows how many hours trying to get a solution that worked, and I ended up having to buy replacement parts to go back to stock. But then again, I'm a perfectionist. Be sure to post up your attempts/results.
