I have a Prestige APS-787 installed in a 2002 civic sedan.What i want to know is
this...do i really need to hook up the wire for the Illuminated entry?The car already has this feature,where as if i unlock the doors the dome lite comes on.
so what is happening is,if i arm the car i'm getting the chirps from the alarm even tho it's in silent arming mode.is there anyway around getting the chirps?

No Illuminated entry is redundant so don`t worry about that. As far as silent arm/disarm RTFM

wow...thanks for nothing!I can read and did read the manual.
And also found how to turn on and off the arm and dis arm chirps.
So,i guess you don't know how to help do you?

are you sure you are silent arming? on mine, you gotta press another button first before pressing lock/unlock.

I'm sure it's silent arming....i think what is happening is the dome light circuit has some form of delay (couple of sec.)So the alarm might be getting a reading that the door is open....can i try using the wire going to the icon on the gauge cluster?that icon is instant on/door open and instant off/door close

how about the actual parking light wire? dome has delay yes.
