Rep Power: 265 how hard is it to add cruise control?
I called around and a few of the shops want 800+ for them to install a cruise control in my car.. im sorry but thats to much.
I drive a 2004 civic coupe standard. and i'm wondering if anyone has done an install of there own cruise control?
all i need is one that holds speed so a basic cruise is fine, if they have that.
But I have an electical background so the wiring doesnt frighten me, just havnt found much online about it.
thoughts?

seems like alot of work and stuff to install, plus parts. maybe if you can get them from junkyard or ebay it might be cheaper. and you need a new throttle body too i believe. and the cables, the box, the controls, etc. maybe even ecu idk

you have the controller, the servo motor, the actuator assembly, switch on your clutch, switch on your brakes, control buttons, linkages, cables, all the wiring, etc. it's not a small job by any means. if you don't have it stock, then i wouldn't bother adding it. i wouldn't dare try to do it myself. too complicated for someone that's not set up to do it regularly. i'm surprized they don't want more than $800. i would think $800 would only be the labor, then plus parts.
