take off that bottom panel, it just has one turn clip and it pulls down. then you can see everything under there.

Do not "try" my friend, instead you need to Complete the task.

Stating that you will "try", on a subconscious level, already admits failure.
Say you will "do" it today.

lol

LOL, be patient. It's cold and there's snow on the ground and the Civic is shivering in the cold. Will try asap.

It looks like I'll try again.

Last night it started blinking again in a steady pattern. Drove 7 miles and it was still on. When we came out 2 hours later, the blinking had stopped.

We only notice it a night time. It's not a very big bulb. It blinks in a steady pattern, like a turn signal, and it doesn't matter if the car is turned on or off, or if the lights are on or off.

Re: 2001 Civic, blinking blue light under dash

I think we solved this mystery. We had a Viper door lock package installed late this summer. I was looking online at their site and they talk about a bright blue LED which tells the status of the system.

That has to be what it is !!!

Why it blinks at random times is beyond me.

Re: 2001 Civic, blinking blue light under dash

ah okay lol. you could goto circuit city or something and ask em to look up the blink codes for that system. but seems to not be important so just shove it back up where nobody will see it
