2001 Civic, blinking blue light under dash
Blinking blue light just started for no apparent reason. Located directly above the hood pull **** against the left wall. What is it for? Can I stop it?

maybe an LED for an aftermarket alarm?? did you do anything to the car before this happened? specifically electrical

It's a bomb!!! Run!! Check Your engine bay for alarm and please have a shop remove it. Alarm could have immobilizer if disconnected. Is anything else wrong with car??

There is no alarm system on the car. A few months ago we had the remote lock feature installed, but this blue blinking light, a bulb, not an LED, just started last night.

It appears to be a factory job because an aftermarket place wouldn't put the bulb at such a hard place to get at, about 8" above the hood pull.

Is there another part of this forum where I should post this?

Since it doesn't seem to be affecting anything....If it happens again, and it bothers you, just remove the bulb!

maybe a fake alarm? one of my friend has a red led light on the driver's side dash to seem like there's an alarm. it just blinks when the car is not turned on.

The light only blinked once that we know about and it hasn't blinked since. I thought maybe it was a Honda thing with an explanation, but I guess it isn't.

maybe it is a transmitter and someone is tracking your every move. it could be relaying signals about where you are and what you are doing....

i dont know what it is though for real, it does just look like a little test light though.

It looks like one of the wires i re-pinned on the back of my gauge cluser.

Better picture(s) please. Find the macro setting on your camera- its might be shown as a flower- allows you to shoot super close.
