Hey guys, im working on my carPC/stereo upgrade.

I have a 2001 ex sedan with the plain sail panel (no tweeters). I called my local Honda Dealership and ordered the 2001 ex coupe sail panels (with holes for the tweeters). I received them last week and spend over an hour shaving them to fit my kicker tweeters. They came out perfect. I took them out to the car only to find out they are too small.

I have only had the car for a month or so, so I didnt notice they were too small until I had the two different panels side by side. My buddy at work has a 6th gen honda with the tweeter panels, I remember his panels looking smaller than mine. I am wondering, did I receive the wrong year panel or am I mistaken to think these would fit in the sedan. From searching on this forum, I think I may have assumed other sedan owners were swapping to the coupe tweeter panels.

Could someone set me straight on this. I called Honda Saturday to get the correct part #s again to compare them to what I received, but I haven't found my receipt or bags they came in to compare.

Well, you could bring them back to honda and see if they notice they are modified, I mean- they didnt notice they gave you the wrong parts.

ok, yes i am an idiot . I was wrong to assume the two were interchangeable.

Anyone need coupe sail panels with holes for tweeters. I already shaved out and fit aftermarket tweeters perfectly. I have kicker tweeters in them right now, they look so awesome. man, im sad.

I picked them up from a local dealership, I think they were a little under $20? Still haven't found my receipt.

is the sail panel the backside of the mirror? and kind of the same idea, does anybody know where i can find a-pillars with tweeter holes in them?

found these while surfing ebay. Dunno how much it is at the dealershit but might check them out
