error correction factor
im building a sub box for my 15" sub. since im using one of the enclosure walls a side of my port do i have to take into effect the error correction factor? it calls for a port that is 17" long so should i make the "actual" port only 16 1/8. you need to take half of the width of the part and the sub "adds" that length to the port. since my width is 1.75" half of that is 7/8. so then take that 7/8 and subtract it from 17 to get 16 1/8? so therefore the sub "sees" 17"
thanks for the help

^^^^^^^^ alright thanks big guy
would i be better off making my depth 15 and angling my port into my box or making my depth 19.5 and leaving my port straight. all that would change by doing that is the width of the enlosure. 15" depth would be 30" wide and a 19.5" depth would be 23.25" wide.
also for bending the port in a 15" depth box would i measure along with wall 11" and then over 6". measuring through the middle of the port and keeping the same porth width and the entrance and exit
