dude messed up my clock
dude messed up my clock
he was wiring my radio and touched metal witht he switch on and boom isntant problem, now my clock wont hold a steady time and resets everytime i start the car, now it is more of a minute counter onmy way to work. all i know is it was a yellow wire that touched and screwed everything up. what can be done to fix this?

If lucky, only a constant power source fuse. Are other items like the dome or trunk light out as well ? Look in the fuse boxes for open (blown,defective) fuses, should also be some spare fuses located in the boxes as well.

Sounds like it's wired wrong, and not getting any power when the car is off. Do you radio station presets stay, or do those get wiped out every time you turn the car off too??

Yeah, sounds like you're gonna need a new HU. Before you do that, I guess you could try taking it apart and see if there is a blown fuse or loose connection on the inside. Maybe the jolt just popped a wire off somewhere.
