question
ok, so i have the same box as 90% of the members on here. it is a box that has two 12's in it and takes up the whole trunk. now it sounds awesome. but it creates a problem with me trying to put snowboards in there. i can put one in with both my backseats down. this creates a problem becasue i need to fit atleast two maybe three. i was thinking of building a new box that fits behind my rear wheel wells and the back of the trunk. one sub on either side. has anyone done this or does anyone know ho this would sound? thanks in advance.

i can fit at least 4 snow boards in my back seat, one best friend on the passenger side, and 4 duffel bags in the trunk with a box with 2 12s''
(i just went this past weekend to Big Bear)

I'm planning on doing a sub on the side with custom fiberglass. You going fiberglass or buying the made molded boxes they sell somewhere?

my custom fiberglass work
i have 1-10" alpine type-r sub in the back passenger side, and an amp rack in the back driver side
i think i'm gonna re-do it tho. alpine recommends at least .5 cu. in. of airspace in a sealed box, but mine has prolly .75 cubic inches without the sub in it.. it sounds good still tho.. hehe.. also, i think i'm gonna replace my trunk floorboard with a 1/2" MDF board, and since my sub box is contoured to the shape of my trunk as it is right now, then i'd have to redo it anyways.. we'll see what happens.. i'll prolly do it when i come back from my deployment
i definitely used waaaaay too much fiberglass for the base tho.. lol.. the base itself is about.. 1/8" thick.. hehe.. 7 layers of glass.. its kinda heavy.. rofl

werds, that amp rack is interesting, lol. looks like there was a flood and all the components jumped on top of the nearest thing to survive.
